PView
Third generation PView Software provides a practical management tool for one or more Dallmeier recorders.
PView provides the user and the administrator with many useful features and functions for video picture display. All the digital recorder’s important user options can be accessed via LAN/WAN. PView therefore not only enables recorder configuration and management over the network but also extensive interrogation of current or recorded data.
Live picture transmission, backup, virtual tours or synchronisation are just some of the functions which make it easy to monitor with PView software. It is possible to have PGuard (alarm management software) trigger alarm picture switching in the PView window.
The search and filter criteria set up on the recorder can be called up and used through PView. User-friendly functions ensure convenient operation.
It can decode a variety of different picture compression processes and transmission coding (MPEG-4, H.261,Wavelet, MPEG-2, JPEG) for live and archived pictures. It is also guaranteed compatible to all the rest of the Dallmeier product range.
Within the Dallmeier video management system (PView, PGuard, SmartGUI+Editor) PView takes the important role of central managing element. The PView software can be installed on standard commercial PCs or on the PVS PView Station.

PViewMobile
Once your PDA is connected to the Dallmeier recorder, the PViewMobile software ensures that pictures from all cameras connected to the recorder are displayed immediately. Even multi-picture splits are no problem; you can control dome and PTZ cameras wherever you are and the recorder relays can be switched remotely. Full playback functionality is included. To guarantee optimal picture quality and fluent display, you can set automatic or manual presets to suit the connection mode (UMTS/WLAN/GPRS) or bandwidth.

DI-CAPE
DI-CAPE (Central Application for Pattern Evaluation) is a management software to store, monitor and control several NPRs in a shared system and allows a central system configuration via a browser based interface. Number plate lists can be maintained centrally and the data of the identified number plates saved on a central server. Number plate lists in the NPRs are updated automatically. The autarkic function of the NPRs is guaranteed during a network failure. When reconnecting to the network an automatic database matching is executed. Further advantages are a system comprehensive visitor management, an automatic notification when parking time is exceeded, a simultaneous event display of several lanes of different NPRs and an extended database to maintain and display more detailed vehicle and personal data.

PGuard
The PGuard software offers many useful functions to facilitate the administration of incoming alarms. The software PGuard 4.0 also provides a better overview of all alarms.
With PGuard 4.0 it is possible to isolate specific alarms from the numerous alarm types and display them in an alarm window with acoustic warning. Filter criteria such as time period or the recorder to be displayed may also be selected.
In addition the management of existing configurations and the setting of all functions without the recorder being connected is possible.

SmartGUI+Editor
The software package contains SmartGUI advance and SmartGUI+Editor advance for creating user interfaces, site plans, symbols or function keys (to be created by the installer).
The SmartGUI advance software facilitates operation of the PView software, and therefore of the entire video surveillance and enables the user to maintain an overview of several locations, buildings and floors. Amongst others, it offers the possibility of switching relevant cameras from different angles or in subsequent scenes. The new “advance” version provides the user with many other useful features.
The SmartGUI software can only be used together with PView software and is activated via an activation code on the hardware dongle of PView. Product Overview
In view of the huge quantities of data created by surveillance recording nowadays, the search for relevant image sequences frequently turns out to be a lengthy and laborious process. Dallmeier has tackled the issue and developed SmartFinder – a system for the intelligent search for objects within a picture. The system allows for a fast and efficient evaluation of the recorded data in any area of the picture.
SmartFinder offers an easy and straightforward way to search for data. Using the mouse the operator drags a rectangle into the picture, thereby marking the area of motion detection. A practical example: An object is removed from in a spacious foyer. Instead of laboriously scanning the entire image material, the relevant sequences can be found within seconds using SmartFinder – even over extended periods. Initial results can even be viewed while the system is still scanning for the data.
Mode of operation
SmartFinder works on the principle of intelligent variation detection. As soon as any motion is detected, its spatial position in the video picture is stored in a database as an event. In the event of a search using SmartFinder, the saved positional data is compared to the search criteria and any movement will be indicated, provided that the SmartFinder was active at the time of recording.
The image analysis is carried out at the time of recording. Therefore, an entry into the database is only made if a movement actually takes place. Constant movement such as branches swaying in the wind will be filtered out automatically with the major advantage being the significant reduction in the amount of data to be searched. The detection of relevant sequences is carried out much more quickly and efficiently than it would be using conventional search tools, which always scan the entire image material.
In contrast with basic video motion detection recording that reacts to any variation in the picture, SmartFinder has the advantage that the user is able to define the areas in which motion is to be detected.

With the exclusive Dallmeier UTC protocol (Up The Coax), the Cam_inPIX® cameras can be controlled directly via the video cable of a Dallmeier digital recorder or a PView Station. The ability to switch between the PAL and NTSC signal formats enables you to use the cameras across the globe in any video surveillance system.
Combining them with the Dallmeier picture transmission and picture recording technologies results in a complete system with perfectly coordinated individual components in which the »components using the picture« (DVR, PView-PC, etc.) obtain dynamic control of the »components creating the picture« by means of UTC.
